Byte reviews the new distro which features Linux kernel 2.4:

SuSE Linux 7.1 is the first commercial Linux distribution to be released with a 2.4.0 kernel, the Reiser journaling filesystem, and a comprehensive set of applications.

SuSE came to prominence late last year when IBM announced plans to bundle SuSE Linux with Netfinity servers, and Oracle forged a partnership with SuSE to drive the adoption of Oracle software for Linux. Coming on seven CDs (one DVD), the $69.95 SuSE 7.1 Professional is a comprehensive compilation of the best that Linux has to offer, including full Beowulf scientific-cluster support.

Two thumbs up from Byte. Read more here.
