The more pertinent question is: WHY are you watching a Street Fighter movie?

Just the fact that Kreuk looks NOTHING just Chun Li makes me hate the movie. At least the actors in the first Street Fighter movie looked kind of like the characters. Kreuk is cute and all, but she doesn’t have the rack to pull it off.

Well, I would rather it be cooler than too hot. There is only so much you can shed in clothing, but you can always add more clothes to stay warmer. Rochester, NY has been the pits so far. Spring was awesome. I guess we are paying the price for having such an awesome spring.

            • UberGerbil

Well, sure. That’s why I live here — I don’t like oppressive heat and humidity, and I love that I don’t have a/c and have zero need for it here. But usually we get a couple of months of good weather spread out across late May to early Sept — days when you might need sunglasses and can go out in short sleeves (even if you need to bring a coat along for when the sun goes down). That’s summer here, and it’s the payoff for 8+ months of gloom, and so far we’ve had maybe five days of it. And there’s only a little over a month left, so even if August is amazing we’re still going to have it cut in half. And then we’re back to layers of polar fleece and drizzle for another three hundred days. I don’t mind that, but I want the other 65 to be decent. That’s how it’s supposed to work, and this year we’re getting robbed.

That isn’t saying much. PDF’s can break adobe products and the Operating systems they run from…

      • Corrado

Hmm… so ONLY Adobe products are having compatibility issues with Lion. Given their history of garbage coding, I’m inclined to believe this isn’t an Apple problem, but an Adobe one.

        • destroy.all.monsters

Yeah I’m sure it’s not intentional at all on Apple’s part to break Adobe on their platform.

        Nope, not at all.

          • Deanjo

Trying to decide if you are completely that clueless or not. Adobe has had full access to Lion well before most other OS x developers with complete documentation. It is solely Adobe’s dipshit developers who cannot adjust with the times. I suppose it was microsofts fault that windows users had to wait 6 f***** years for even a beta of 64 bit flash.

          • Corrado

So you’re going to completely disregard the fact that Flash, for YEARS was TERRIBLE? Thats what started the whole Apple vs Adobe thing. That it took them how many years to get proper hardware acceleration in to Flash? That they refused initially to port Photoshop to a 64bit proper Cocoa binary? That only recently has Flash started to run reasonably well on lower end setups on Windows as well as OS X? Yeah. Totally Apple’s fault.

            • Deanjo

Lol, hell even their “linux” guy said that having accelerated h264 decoding was impossible at one point until the nvidia and XBMC devs offered to show them how to do it.

            I so love fanboy rage.

            • UberGerbil

I’m not sure what’s “fanboy” about noting Adobe’s history of incompetent and inadequate engineering. But as derFunk notes, it’s not just Adobe. And I’m not sure why we should assume Apple is doing this deliberately. Microsoft made more of an effort to preserve backwards compatibility than Apple ever did, and they inadvertently (or at least non-maliciously) blew up 3rd party apps on occasion with new versions of Windows. If Apple were actually doing this intentionally, I’d expect them to couple it with the oh-so-coincidental launch of some competing app or service that does the same job in the non-broken, magical way.

            • destroy.all.monsters

Adobe’s incompetence notwithstanding you don’t get that upset over it unless you’re really attached to being an Apple fanboy.

Apple has a history of bad relations with Adobe especially lately (whether that grew out of something that happened with Display Postscript on the Next or something else I don’t know).

There’s no reason not to believe that competitors – especially those that compete in underhanded ways (patent trolling for example) wouldn’t deliberately break their products. Either way it’s a happy accident for Apple who will, no doubt, find a way to take advantage of it.

I really shouldn’t have to explain any of this to anyone paying attention.

        • derFunkenstein

No, it’s definitely not only Adobe.

Up here in Timmins we just broke our heatwave. Only hit 21C today and 16C for a better part of the day. It feels freezing after a week and a half of over 30+C (not including humidex factor)

At least I am saving money not running the AC 🙂
