[quote<]Ars Technica reports Apple patent cleverly hides an antenna in your keyboard[/quote<] If this was designed by the same people that did the iPhone 4 antenna, it means anytime someone tries to turn the volume up they will loose their network connection =P

[quote<]DailyTech: Kodak's patents may be worth five times the company's market cap[/quote<] When will it end... in 10 years four big players have bought all the small companies just to wage patent wars. In 15 years, all restaurants are called Taco Bell, and all electronics come with fruit logos

Trickle-down economics and ‘aid’ for big corporations with multi-million dollar bonuses create jobs…?
    Uh-uh, I ain’t buying it.

Well, that just shows how little you know! Employment of undocumented Phillipino domestics has [i<]soared[/i<], buddy!

Those jobs have always been there for the undocumented. They weren’t just created…except at the new residence of the ex Mrs. Schwarzenegger.

III.X-bit labs: AMD to offer “graphics free” Llano chips

File under wtfbbq. It would be one thing if they were doing that by just disabling it on a few chips for the DIYers and then putting the clock speed through the roof, but making them cheaper and slower throw away brands for a platform with no other integrated graphics option doesn’t sound particularly appealing for OEMs.

The argument that lots of people will use a graphics card just makes no sense. Having an integrated GPU in [i<]every[/i<] CPU is a good thing because then switchable graphics can be standardized. I'm surprised they didn't just do a separate version with a very minimal GPU that's just enough for Aero, which could still probably knock about 30% of the chip size off and increase battery life.

Actually some people have been waiting exactly for this not only for headless small file server use but for the HTPC crowd that do not want the IGP capability since its support is absolute crap unless you run windows. (ie the linux HTPC crowd who have far better playback support with a card like the GT520).

        • smilingcrow

What unique features does it have that people been waiting for?

          • Deanjo

Low power consumption, lower price, and zero need of the crappy IGP (crappy for non windows use).

Now that’s some [i<]bad[/i<] poetry. Blank verse demands random line breaks: [quote<]Iàm in Rome right now drinking Esprésso enjoying the nice view You are not.[/quote<](Kudos for writing in English using a non-English keyboard to get arbitrarily-accented vowels, however. For your next poem I suggest switching to a German mapping to achieve the insta-umlaut heavy metal lyrics effect)

[quote<]I.Kitguru: AMD FX 8-core spotted at Gamescom – running DiRT 3[/quote<] How are this chips performing against the i5 2500 and i7 2600? My fake research shows that the 8 core bulldozers will be 80% slower than single core Atom’s in multithreaded benchmarks. I can provide proof as soon as photoshop loads up.
