“Fudzilla: hp hires Nokia executive to get back into tablets”

Nah, HP should buy RIM and promise to make QNX the OS on all their printers.

Many people have commented on the potential awesomeness of WebOS running on a QNX foundation. Too bad we’re so unlikely to see that happen…

Does Newegg not have a Canadian weekend/daily-deal thing, maybe I didn’t sign up for it but it’d be cool if, if it exists, for it to show up in these daily/weekly shortbreads.

I’ve all but stopped checking Newegg at all in Canada, their prices simply aren’t competitive and their shipping is invariably more expensive.

I use memory express these days. flat shipping of 5$, for up to 100lbs, and they price beat ANYTHING. the ONLY downside is they’re western so shipping to the east coast takes a bit longer. they’re cheap, great to deal with, and best price matching in the country.

The Verge: Windows 8 Pro to be priced at $199 following $69.99 promotional pricing

What’s my incentive to pay $200 to go from Windows 7 to 8?

      • Rand

To be honest I don’t think I’d ‘upgrade’ to Windows 8 if I was paid $200 to do so. Pay me about ~800 and I’d be willing to go for it though.

It’s pretty pathetic that I actually gave this real thought and genuinely consider 8 enough of a downgrade that I’d have to be paid a pretty substantial sum to do it.

I’ll probably get Win 8 Pro for my WHS box. I’m still on WHS v1 for drive extender and Storage Spaces looks like a suitable replacement. $40 is certainly a fair price for it.

I plan to use it as my main windows installation as soon as I can get a license for it… Seems some people is too afraid of change that need to be paid to accept it while others are curious and want to test by themselves and are willing to accept 🙂

Seriously, go out of tech report, plenty other tech blogs praise windows 8 and most of commentators are happy with it and looking forward to it. There are plenty Windows 8 trolls in Techreport….. if you don´t like it, don’t use it, but stop talking like if people that like it should be retarded or something…. You don´t see the point using it, ok, we got it. But don´t talk like you must be paid in order to use it, so no one in his sense should pay for it.

Do you have a link to a site with 100K+ visitors praising it?

[url<]http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/31/windows-8-release-preview-detailed-impressions/?m=false[/url<] Not completely praising but best ranked comments are positive with windows 8. [url<]http://mobile.theverge.com/2012/8/16/3246185/this-is-my-next-windows-8[/url<] Definitely a positive review of the OS. [url<]http://www.gizmodo.com/5889659/microsoft-is-the-most-exciting-company-in-tech-hands-down[/url<] Not just enthusiastic about windows 8, but all the route windows is taking lately. All them have communities at least 10x bigger than tech report, so guess if they have 100k users or 1M 🙂

Maybe some AMD fanboy thinks he or she can do a better job then AMDs marketing division.

No, no, no, we all know that it is intel hacking nvidia’s and amd’s sites. It was the one thing not forbidden in their settlements.
