    I. X-bit labs: OCZ to rationalize SSD product lines

This statement implies that up until now their product line has been entirely irrational, no?
I concur. Many shareholders of OCZ (I’m not one of them, thankfully) do too, I would expect.

I’m not sure if so much product line itself was irrational as their quality.

[b<]Engadget: Txtr Beagle aims to corner low-end e-reader market for $13 (video) [/b<] Okay, that gets my attention. When I saw the first reference to this guy, no price was mentioned--I assumed it would be the usual $99 that most independent eBook readers seem to go for. But, for $13? I'll take four. I'll give one to each child (they come in cute colors, no?) and I'll use one myself and stick one on the fridge as electronic signage--weather display, etc.

It is like looking at porn.

The GPU portion look soooo tiny, doesn’t feel right for a machine design for visual entertainment.

the tiny part is the cpu, you have them mixed up

that’s correct. the large die is the GPU with a big chunk of eDRAM. (Renesas, formerly NEC, designed the eDRAM that’s embedded in the GPU) is what the article says, I think.

[quote<]VII.VR-Zone: Windows 8's Microsoft Store to not feature M-rated games like Diablo III[/quote<] Well, maybe that's some kind of wierd consolation for the publishers who are unhappy about the Windows 8 software store.

Hate to break it to Microsoft but there was no way in hell any of Blizzards titles were going to be showing up on their marketplace in the first place.

[quote<]X-bit labs: Gilette makes no profit selling Fusion razors, says CEO[/quote<] I had to buy new blades for my 'free' razor last week. My bank manager says the loan should be approved by Monday.

I wonder if they do their books the same way as ‘non-profits’ do: CEO compensation is in the same column as R&D and Marketing, therefore considered part of the pre-profit ‘cost’ of the items?

Yup, and then you will find them on the side of the tub after the wife discovers them. Grrrrrr….

I buy disposable razors when they are on sale *and* I use coupons clipped from my Sunday paper. No way Gilette makes big fat ‘blade’ profits off me 😉
