Deal of the week: Cheap storage, Blu-ray, and BF3 for 12 bucks

Newegg is running a storage-themed sale right now, and there are a few nicely discounted items available. Among them:

  • Seagate's HDD.15 4TB hard drive, which is selling for $204.99 shipped after a $50-off promo code (AFNJ0275). That works out to just over a nickel per gigabyte, which is pretty affordable considering the storage density of this 4TB monster.
  • Asus' BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS Blu-ray burner, which will set you back $49.99 after a $20 mail-in rebate and a $10 coupon code (EMCXVVV22). This drive burns Blu-ray media at up to 12X and DVDs at up to 16X. It's got a black front bezel, hooks up via Serial ATA, and has great user reviews on Newegg. What's not to like?
  • OCZ's Vertex 4 128GB solid-state drive, which is down to $109.99 shipped after a $40 instant rebate at Newegg. We reviewed the 512GB version of this drive and found it to be a solid performer overall. The 128GB model has the same "Indilinx Infused" Marvell controller and the same five-year warranty coverage. If you still have reservations about SSD longevity, this may be the drive to get.

We also see that Battlefield 3 is on sale for $11.99 at Amazon. BF3 probably doesn't have the most original single-player campaign out there, but it has excellent multiplayer. DICE did a great job of melding close-quarter skirmishes with large-scale vehicular combat, and it has robbed me of many productive hours. If you get tired of the default maps, there are several downloadable add-ons on offer, as well.

North of the border, NCIX's February Super Sale also includes some storage bargains. Crucial's M4 128GB and OCZ's Agility 3 120GB are down to $109.99 CAD and $104.99 CAD, respectively. You can also snag Western Digital's 3TB Caviar Green for $129.99 CAD.
