Storage dominates this week’s most appealing PC hardware deals, as usual, but we’ve also spotted a few other items.

  • AMD’s FX-8350 Black Edition CPU is down to $159.99 at Newegg with promo code EMCPEWD22. This multiplier-unlocked Socket AM3+ offering usually lists for around $200, so that’s quite a discount.
  • Corsair’s Vengeance K95 mechanical keyboard is on sale for $124.99, also at Newegg. The K95 has programmable macro keys, configurable per-key backlighting, and Cherry MX red mechanical switches throughout. It also boasts a gorgeous aluminum frame and a nice selection of dedicated media controls.
  • PNY’s Optima 240GB SSD keeps getting cheaper. This week, the budget drive can be had for as little as $89.99 via an instant discount and a $20 mail-in rebate. The effective cost per gigabyte works out to just $0.37, which might be the lowest we’ve seen to date. The Newegg user reviews for Optima are overwhelmingly positive, too.
  • TigerDirect has a couple of tempting discounts on larger SSDs. Seagate’s 600 Series 480GB is discounted to $219.99 with promo code LMO127003. Cost per gig: $0.46. Meanwhile, Samsung’s 840 EVO 750GB can be had for only $339.99 with coupon code PWA125953, which works out to $0.45/GB.
  • We have three mechanical storage deals this week. At TigerDirect, you can get a 3TB, 7,200-RPM Toshiba drive for only $89.99 after promo code LCC127060. (Thanks Slickdeals.) TigerDirect is also selling WD’s 5,400-RPM Green 4TB for $149.99 after coupon code TFD125884. The Green’s RAID- and NAS-optimized WD Red 4TB sibling is discounted to $169.99 at Newegg with promo code EMCPEWD24. The Red has a three-year warranty, while the other drives are covered for two years.

Those aren’t the only sweet deals on PC hardware this week, so feel free to add your own in the comments. Also, check out our story on Radeon R9 prices from earlier this week. The full R9 family is finally available at AMD’s suggested e-tail prices, and numerous cards can be had for less via coupon codes and other discounts.
