We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming to bring you some nifty SSD deals. Adorama is running a one-day sale on SanDisk's Extreme Pro solid-state drives, and the discounts are pretty steep.
The e-tailer offers the 240GB Extreme Pro for $149, the 480GB model for $259, and the 960GB drive for $449. Just to give you an idea, the same three SSDs currently sell for a respective $190, $370, and $590 at Newegg.
Now, on a pure dollar-per-gigabyte basis, even the discounted prices might not seem all that low. But that metric alone doesn't account for the 10-year warranties these drives carry—or the performance on tap. SanDisk claims the Extreme Pro family is faster than its Extreme II series, which is already pretty snappy. At these prices, the Extreme Pro drives are definitely a steal.
