Catalyst 15.3 betas add FreeSync support, more CrossFire profiles

AMD has posted a new batch of beta drivers for Radeon graphics cards. The Catalyst 15.3 beta release adds support for monitors with FreeSyc variable-refresh tech, but only with single-GPU configurations. FreeSync suppport for multi-GPU configs, including the duallie Radeon R9 295 X2, is slated for an April release.

Speaking of multi-gpu setups, the 15.3 betas add CrossFire profiles for the following games:

  • Battlefield Hardline
  • Evolve
  • Far Cry 4
  • Lords of the Fallen
  • Project Cars
  • Total War: Attila

...along with updated CrossFire profiles for these titles:

  • Alien Isolation
  • Assassin's Creed Unity
  • Civilisation: Beyond Earth
  • FIFA 2015
  • GRID Autosport
  • Ryse: Son of Rome
  • The Talos Principle
  • The Crew

Also, the CrossFire profile for Dying Light has been disabled while AMD works with the developer to "investigate an issue where AMD CrossFire configurations are not performing as intended." According to the driver release notes, the game may have to be patched to address the problem.
