HP has announced a stack of professional-grade displays in conjunction with this week's National Association of Broadcasters show. The most impressive of the bunch is the DreamColor Z32x, which spreads its 3840x2160 resolution across a 31.5" IPS panel.
This 4K monster boasts 10-bit color reproduction, and it's factory-calibrated to cover the full sRGB spectrum in addition to 99% of Adobe RGB. Inputs include HDMI 2.0 and 1.4, plus Mini and full-sized DisplayPort 1.2 There's also an integrated USB 3.0 hub with fast-charging support. No variable refresh mojo, though. The DreamColor is built for content creation rather than gaming.
The rest of HP's new monitors comprise narrow-bezel units. These displays are designed for multi-screen workstations and video walls, but the borders are only super-slim on the top and sides, limiting ideal configurations to two rows (or columns). The bezel width varies depending on the model, according to HP, with the narrowest measuring just 3.5 mm.
There are five configurations in total, each with a factory-calibrated IPS panel. The 27" Z27n and 25" Z25n both have 2560x1440 resolutions, while the 24" Z24n is limited to 1920x1200. Two 23.8-inchers, the Z24nq and Z24nf, offer 2560x1440 and 1080p resolutions, respectively. According to the datasheets, that duo only covers 95% of the sRGB spectrum. The rest of the narrow-bezel displays are specced for 99% coverage.
