MSI introduced its top-of-the-line X99A Godlike Gaming motherboard at Computex today. The most eye-catching feature is the collection of the RGB LEDs, which MSI claims is a world's first for mobos. Users can pick essentially any color and several effect presets, such as breathing, flashing, and waving. The lighting is also configurable via MSI's companion smartphone apps for iOS and Android.
The board has a bountiful harvest of integrated storage, with no fewer than 10 SATA ports, four of which are part of dual SATA Express connectors. There's a "Turbo" M.2 slot likely linked to four Gen3 lanes in the CPU, plus a USB 3.1 port in the rear cluster.
For networking, dual Killer Ethernet jacks join forces with the recently-released Killer Wireless-AC 1535 Wi-Fi module, which provides 802.11ac speeds with MIMO support. Killer Networking claims its traffic shaping software can pick the optimal adapter depending on the game or application.
The Godlike plays its song via Audio Boost 3 Pro hardware. We don't have official details on what that entails, but it probably includes isolated audio circuitry and a headphone amp.
