Fallout 4 and Dishonored 2 weren't the only big news from Bethesda's E3 showcase. There's a new Doom coming, and id Software's Marty Stratton took to the stage to show off the game's signature mix of "badass demons, big effing guns, and moving really, really fast." That's all nicely tied together in the official gameplay trailer:
This new Doom isn't just about the first-person campaign. The game promises a number of multiplayer modes, as well. Stratton also introduced a companion modding framework, called Doom Snapmap, that makes it easy for even inexperienced modders to build new maps and game modes using drag-and-drop tools. Once a Snapmap mod is complete, it can be shared with the rest of the Doom community with one click.
For those who can't wait to get back into hell, the new Doom arrives in the spring of 2016.
