TR favorite franchise Mirror's Edge is getting a reboot in the form of the in-development Mirror's Edge: Catalyst. EA has released a new gameplay trailer that shows five minutes of what a mission might look like in the completed game, and it's not helping my impatience for this title.
I'm happy to see that the original game's squeaky-clean futurist aesthetic is intact, and the graphics appear to have gotten a significant yet tasteful step up from that title. Protagonist Faith's parkour moves look good, and her escape from a mission gone wrong in a mysterious laboratory is made all the more hair-raising by the lack of gunplay—the only offense one can mount in Catalyst is with fists and feet. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst is set to arrive on February 23, 2016.
