When CPUs lose their cool

Dr. Tom has put together a very interesting article about what happens when a processor's cooling system fails. He assembled a Pentium III, Pentium 4, Athlon T-bird, and Athlon Palomino, then pulled the heatsink off of each with Quake III running. Various forms of CPU carnage ensued—or not. The whole article is worth reading, but I really recommend checking out the video first. The video gives you a real feel for what happens when the various CPUs lose their cool.
