Deals of the week: LG's 34UC87C 34" curved monitor and more

Happy Friday, gerbils. It may not be Black Friday just yet, but we've scoured the web for the best discounts out there today. Here's what we found.

  • Adorama has LG's 34UC87C 34" curved ultrawide monitor on sale for $720, down from about $1000 elsewhere. This swanky-looking display has a 3440x1440 IPS panel, 99% sRGB coverage, and a 5-ms gray-to-gray average response time. Adorama offers free shipping as part of this bargain, too.
  • It's not the lowest price we've ever seen on a GeForce GTX 970, but Newegg is selling MSI's excellent (and rarely discounted) GTX 970 Gaming 4G graphics card for $319.99. This card is a staple of our System Guides for good reason. Its whisper-quiet cooler and potent overclocking chops earned it an Editor's Choice award in our review. MSI is also offering a $20 rebate card that could sweeten the deal even further.
  • Newegg also has Crucial's BX100 1TB SSD for $299.99. For a big, basic chunk of fast storage, it's hard to go wrong with the BX100. Newegg is offering another $5 off this drive with promo code BTTF5.
  • Here's a weird one to top off this week's deals. Newegg is selling LG's 34UM94-P ultrawide display for $849.99. The 34UM94-P is a nice display on its own, to be sure. It has a 34" flat IPS panel with a 3440x1440 resolution. LG throws in a pair of Thunderbolt inputs alongside the usual HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, too. Here's the strange part: buy a 34UM94-P, and Newegg will throw in a free PlayStation 4 console with 500GB of storage and The Last of Us: Remastered Editiona $349.99 value on its own. We'd flip the console and keep the monitor.

Those are the best deals we saw this week. If you find something we missed, be sure to share with other gerbils in the comments.
