Deals of the week: Samsung's 850 EVO 1TB SSD for $290 and more

— 11:19 AM on February 5, 2016

It's Friday, gerbils, and you know what that means: it's for another round of high-quality deals on PC components. Here's what we found this week.

  • Samsung's 850 EVO 1TB SSD is $289.99 at Newegg after promo code EMCEGET76. As far as we can tell, that's the lowest price ever for this drive at that capacity. This deal expires tomorrow at 11:59 PM, so act fast.

  • G.Skill's Trident Z 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200 RAM kit is $94.99 at Newegg after promo code EMCEGEJ54. This particular kit has tighter-than-average 16-16-16-36 timings, and it's among the cheaper DDR4-3200 kits available on Newegg right now. It doesn't hurt that these are some sharp-looking DIMMs, too.

  • WD's Blue 6TB hard drive is $199.99 at Newegg after promo code ESCEGET74. This drive was formerly a WD Green product before that line was folded into the Blue series, so it should offer reasonable performance and quiet operation along with its high capacity.

  • EVGA's GeForce GTX 950 SC graphics card is $139.99 at Newegg. This stubby, single-fan card should be able to slot into many systems without issue, and it only needs a single six-pin power connector to do its thing. EVGA gives this card a healthy clock bump to 1152MHz base and 1342MHz boost speeds, and a $10 mail-in rebate could make it an even sweeter deal.

  • SeaSonic's SS-860XP2 860W power supply is $129.99 with promo code EMCEGEG25. This 80 Plus Platinum PSU is a bigger version of the power supply I have in my personal PC, and I can attest to its excellence. SeaSonic is offering an additional $20 off this PSU right now with a mail-in rebate.

That's it for this week's deals. If you find a bargain we missed, be sure to share your findings with TR readers in the comments.
