Join us as we live-blog Intel CEO Brian Krzanich’s IDF16 keynote

Morning, everybody. We're on the ground at the Intel Developer Forum this week, and Intel CEO Brian Krzanich will be kicking things off today at 9AM PT (12 PM ET) with his opening keynote. We'll be providing live updates from the event right here with a spiffy liveblogging tool from 24Liveblog, so you can just leave your browser open and new posts will automatically be added to the top of the list. This is the first time using this tool for us, so bear with us should any technical difficulties arise.

With the blue theme, mousing over the individual entries makes their text unreadable.

“Doctor, it hurts when I poke myself!”
        “Then don’t poke yourself!”

So a “level 4” vehicle is hands off and mind off?

Those must be popular since I sure had to avoid a bunch of them on my commute in this morning.

Ok, now it’s incredibly niche but I will say that Euclid actually looks like a cool toy.

[quote<] 7th gen Core is shipping now[/quote<] Have I just missed out on the details? I mean, [s<]LOL[/s<]WCCFTech has some "leaks" but I'm interested in the real deal, if it has huge cache and keeps higher speeds.

I guess we’ll see reviews now that it’s shipping? I mean, Intel still hasn’t spilled all the beans on the last three architectures, so it may be up to reviewers to puzzle them out of Kaby Lake.

It’s shipping to partners and OEMs, not to mere mortals. 🙂

I figured that, but now that it’s shipping I’d expect Intel to share details. Most critically, how it’ll run in my existing system. :p

5% better than before and you’ll like it, damn it

            That made me LOL.

            Then it made me cry.

[quote<]Apparently it's KAHBY lake[/quote<] KKAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNN!!! I mean KKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHBY!!! I was pronouncing it rhyming with Krabby lake anyway, and I refuse to change now.

It seriously depends who you ask in any case. Which is the sign of a stupid name 😉

Ugh, 360-replay is a licensing problem, not a tech problem…

Cool, Intel is on-board the inside-out VR train.

    Watch out Intel.
“Merged Reality” is already patented by Apple.
They just call it “distorted reality”.

      Intel in da house.
Looking forward to the Pentium branded slip mats; 2 turntables = Pentium branding.

    My predictions:

    -standard sales number BS
    -dancing drones
    -Xtreme sports
-clips from their godawful TV show
    -something with AR
-absolutely no technical information about CPUs

      • WhatMeWorry

Sign me up! I came for the CPUs and stayed for the extreme sport dancing TV drone shows.

No sales numbers or Xtreme sports so far… 4/6 though, not bad right? (And no that Kabylake stuff doesn’t count, the only technical information was about the video decoder)

Hoping to get some more information on Kaby Lake and Cannonlake.

I think I joked about a IGP that meets the VR minimum spec just weeks ago…Probably not…Right?

          • chuckula

Considering how the “minimum” VR spec keeps getting lower and lower, I think Intel has a winner!

    Ooh live blogging excellence!

I’m pretty sure the keynote is going to be underwhelming with the possible exception of news about Xpoint, but it’s a good test of the live blogging technology.
