TR’s 12 days of giveaways: Cooler Master engages the gift-o-matic

Ho ho ho, gerbils. It is I, the TR Santa. I'm doing away with those doofuses that have been presenting these things the past week, and will be bringing you the gifts directly. That's right, I'm looking directly into the camera so you can check out all my nose hair in glorious wide-gamut 4K, with both G-Sync and FreeSync.

Today there are more gifts, and let me tell you, boys and girls, they are good. This giveaway I was contracted for is heating up, and the best stuff has been saved for last. What I have in my bag today is (drumroll, please) Cooler Master gear: a MasterCase Pro 3 chassis, a MasterKeys Pro S keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches, and a MasterPulse headset. I'm going to let the regular doofuses take it from here. Santa, out.

So, uh, that was interesting, dear gerbils. Let us present the prizes. The Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 3 (a $95 value) is a micro-ATX version of the company's fancy, configurable MasterCase Pro 5 chassis. It packs Cooler Master's trademark FreeForm modular system, a dual-chamber setup, and even modular cooling backets. We liked the original MasterCase Pro 5 when we reviewed it, and the small version should be just as good.

Next up, we have something quite shiny: the Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro S mechanical keyboard (worth $130). This clicker combines a simple and rather fetching old-school aesthetic with modern RGB LEDs, in a piece of hardware that should look good on every desk. Cherry MX Brown switches underpin the keys, offering a much-praised typing feel. We reviewed the MasterKeys Pro S a while ago and didn't give it a TR Recommended award without good reason.

The third item in the bag-o'-offerings is the Cooler Master MasterPulse Pro headset (which goes for $100). This headset offers 44-mm drivers in a convertible design, all hung on a neat-looking metal frame with a generous amount of noggin paddin'. Gamers can take off the headset's side panels to change it from a closed-back to a semi-open design, and engage 7.1 surround sound virtualization. The included remote can toggle between multiple listening modes and adjust microphone settings, too. Last but not least, the RGB LEDs in the ear cups can light up in any color you choose.

We know, we know—you want to know if it's you that will get grubby hands on the prizes. But you must wait, because we have to do our countdown. Today, we're counting down from the number of christmas tree balls knocked off by cats. Ready, go! All done now? We have the winner, then… and his name is Joe Rankin. Congratulations, fortune smiles upon you. Our biz handler will be in touch with you soon. Krogoth must be despairing right now, for he's seen no prizes and nary a hint of coal.

Please offer Cooler Master a standing ovation. The company has picked some of its top-tier gear to offer our gerbils, and deserves all the praise it can get. Please go ahead and follow the company's Twitter feed, and hit Like on its Facebook profile.

Don't forget to sign up for the remaining random draws in TR's 12 days of giveaways. TR Santa still has goodies to deliver over the next few days, and you still have good chances. We'll have another giveaway tomorrow, but in the meantime, you can take a sneak peek at an item that may or may not be up for grabs:

Wow, never expected to win anything! Thanks to TR for the great early Christmas gift and to Cooler Master for donating such great items. I’m definitely still in shock over winning…my luck usually only runs in the negative. 🙂 Thanks again!
