Deals of the week: an RX 480 for $144, monitors, and more

Hi gerbils! We at TR HQ are still reeling from the double-whammy of Ryzen and the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. But there ain't no rest for the wicked, as the song goes. We soldiered on and brought you the best hardware deals today. Check'em out.

  • Our headlining deal today is the MSI RX 480 4GB graphics card with a reference cooler. While not as fancy as its twin-fanned brothers, this model makes up for it with an insane price: only $173.99 at Newegg while supplies last, with a $30 rebate card on tap that can bring the price down to a dizzingly-low $143.99.
  • Need something with a bit more firepower? With the recent launch of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, Nvidia chose to drop the price on the regular GTX 1080 to $500. That change is already in place in stores, and you can get a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 with a triple-fan cooler and a 1797MHz boost clock for $499.99 at Newegg.
  • A big, nice monitor would be a good companion for that GTX 1080. Meet the Acer XB217HU, a 27" 2560x1440 IPS display with a whopping 165Hz refresh rate and G-Sync support. Yours for $699.99 at Newegg if you use promo code EMCRDBR23. That's the lowest price we've seen for this monitor so far.
  • "I just need a workhorse monitor." Walk this way, good sir. Here's this Acer KN242HYL, a 24" 1920x1080 display with an IPS panel and 60Hz refresh rate. For the mere pittance of $99.99 with the promo code EMCRDBR22, you can take one home from Newegg.
  • The Fractal Define R5 case in Titanium grey with a window is a looker, and it also got an Editor's Choice award here at TR. And it's also on sale at Newegg, going for only $79.99. Need we say more?
  • Spinning-rust storage is getting cheaper by the minute. Today's offering is the HGST Deskstar NAS 8TB hard drive. This capacious drive offers a speed 7200RPM rotation speed and a big 256MB cache. You can get one from Newegg for $299.99 with promo code EMCRDBR32. That works out to $37.5 a terabyte.
  • Here's a little something off the left field. The Klipsch RF-10 floor-standing speakers appear to have been discontinued, and that means two words: good deals. These babies have two 4.5" woofers and a 1" titanium-dome horn tweeter, and can handle up to 75W. Yours for only $87.99 a unit (or $175.98 for a pair). Grab'em while you can.

That's it for today, folks! If you come across any juicy deals that we missed, help out your fellow gerbils and post it in the comments section below.
