[quote<]Epic's Tim Sweeney thinks full-body VR scanners are just three years away @ Upload VR[/quote<] Was it just me or was the first thing that popped into your head, "Porn"?

It’s just fact that porn is at the forefront of formats and technologies. The format they pick has usually won, see blu ray 😉

I read an article not too long ago that was exactly what you said.

        The sequence was something like

Film -> VHS -> DVD and online -> Blu-ray and live streaming -> VR

Some quick research on sites that I never knew existed before right now and will probably never visit again *ahem* show another interesting thing: 3D Blu-ray is not popular in the US (or EU as far as I can tell), but has some legs in Japan. There are only 69 (no I did not make that up) titles listed in 3D Blu-ray versus thousands of DVDs and regular Blu-rays and of that small number, 53 are “Asian”. Even the US ones that are in that list seem to be from 2012-2014 when they were testing the waters.

So Tron:Legacy is but one of 16 3D Blu-Rays released in the US?? I find that hard to believe.
