Does the new TR UI have insurance?

  1. “(stranger things have happened)”…fish, fish, fish…you are aware that gerbil abuse is a thing, right? You know we pay to be on this site– and therefore shouldn’t be subjected to odd forms of humor and pun-ishment? ;->

    • Thank you, my world would have been turned upside-down if no one had noticed that one.

Can’t blame the kids. Astronauts don’t seem to be doing anything terribly exciting these days. All the recent exciting space stuff has been done without astronauts. If you can do things as precise as landing an orbital rocket on a floating platform, this will only become more prevalent going forward.

As for fame, go out to the street and ask people to name three astronauts from the last five years. Most people will just stare blankly and ask if they can name Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos.

As for money, being a successful Youtuber does pay better.

As for going to space, it seems much more likely, in the near future, to be able to go to space if you become rich and/or famous than if you become an astronaut.

As for exciting people about science, while nobody seems to care about the scientists we’re sending up to space, they might pay attention if we send their favorite Youtubers with their selfie sticks.

Looks like the typical height at which that model S-class sits at when the air suspension gives out.

Intel needs a new form of insurance: Cancellation insurance.

OTOH, the premiums on AMD’s glue insurance had a massive hike.

I had this exact car situation with tropical storm Arthur in Fredericton. Had recently bought a Nissan Cube, in white, then the storm and the wheels were busted off and the roof was sitting just above the seats. What annoyed me about the situation was that I made a comprehensive claim and the insurance company raised my rates like I had an at fault accident.

In their defence, it *was* pretty reckless of you to not keep it indoors at all times and never dare use it.

Not to mention, he chose to park that thing on a planet with vicious hydrogen dioxide storms and a roiling atmosphere. For the lowest rates, I’d try somewhere like Mercury. (Although you’d have to re-park every 3-4 weeks in order to avoid… melting.)

Mercury is tidally locked to the Sun, just park on the dark side and you’re fine.

They’re raising your premiums for being unlucky.
