Whoever did the Photoshop work for the RPS Borderlands article deserves an A in Tenacity. That job had to begin in fun and end in grinding tedium.

Major molten salt nuclear fuel test completed @ New Atlas

So this is potentially important. IF we can get this to work (still a big if), there are many benefits of this kind of fuel. Overall less dangerous than uranium, it isn’t related to nuclear weapons, and smaller reactors reduces the complexity and potential long-term dangers in a worst case scenario. (Even the strongest nuclear energy proponents would get skiddish around Chernobyl or Fukushima).

Still some big hurdles and challenges, but I like the overall goal.

Of COURSE your cat bonds with you, earning your trust and love, lulling you into a false sense of security right before the final, late, dark night where it leaps with a tiny roar, fangs out and claws at full extension, then…

Acccccccck! Thud! Splat! Argggggggh! [NSFW]

This is why I have a trebuchet designed just for getting rid of the traitorous beasts–I call it a “catapult”.
