Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition comes to PC

In March of last year, we reported that six Halo games were coming to PC as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The collection is set to include Halo: Reach, Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary edition, Halo 2: Anniversary edition, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4. The games are being launched one at a time, and the first one, Halo: Reach, became available back in December.

The second game in the collection, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition, is now available on Steam and the Windows Store. You can pick it up as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection for $40 or on its own for $10. If you plan to purchase all six games coming to PC, the collection should save you $20, granted that the rest of the games go for $10. That said, if you have the Xbox Game Pass for PC, you won’t have to shell out any additional cash to play any of the Halo games in the collection, as they’re included with the pass.

  1. Too little too late. Just to think what Rooster Teeth could’ve done if this came out ack in the day!

  2. I might well buy this! After playing the first Halo it ticked me off how MS started shunning PC gaming. But I always wanted to see how the story played out…
