Intel's launches first salvo in CPU price war

The latest version of Intel's price list lists substantial price cuts across the Pentium 4 processor line. The biggest cut comes at 2.2/2.26GHz, where list prices drop 43%, from $423 to $241. The Pentium 4 2.4GHz also gets a nice cut, from $562 to $400. The 2.53GHz model remains unchanged at $637, which is just highway robbery. But the rest of the line looks quite a bit more affordable now.

Let the price war begin!
