Oh, that’s reassuring…

Another Yahoo News item, this one was just too good to pass up. It’s an article about how Japan’s largest consumer electronics manufcaturer (Matsushita) is forbidding all employees (280,000 of them!) from using air travel from December 31 to January 1 “on concern that computer failures may occur during that period.” If you need me, I’ll be out back digging a hole for my fallout shelter.

    Re: Kushan

I’m a technician in a company that makes medical diagnostic equipment. From December 29 to January 5 this place is going to be empty. I think only the companies that think that there is going to be alot of people calling at the last minute and asking are worried.

I think the entire electronics community just got setup to host a sequel to NBC’s “Y2K- The Movie”

I’ll be flying back from the Virgin Islands on that fine day. Sure, I might drop as fast as a rock with testicles, but think of the money I saved!
