$8 billion class-action suit against AOL

After downloading the latest version of AOL client software, many users found that it wreaked havoc on their other, real ISP accounts. An estimated 8 million users downloaded the software, and the class action suit filed calls for $1,000 per user in compensation for damages (as if using AOL alone doesn't damage you). AOL claims the suit has no basis, and that users lose their rights when they agree to install the software. A thanks goes to Rancid_Meat for this story.
