ATI launches new graphics cards

At long last, ATI has lifted the curtain on its Radeon 9500, 9500 Pro, and 9700 graphics cards. The specs of the cards closely follow what's been rumored for weeks; here are some official numbers compared with the current Radeon 9700 Pro:

Core clock (MHz) Pixel pipelines Texture units per pixel pipeline Memory clock (MHz) Memory bus width (bits)
Radeon 9500 275 4 1 540 128
Radeon 9500 Pro 275 8 1 540 128
Radeon 9700 275 8 1 540 256
Radeon 9700 Pro 325 8 1 620 256
[H]ard|OCP and Anand both have benchmarks of the new cards, which have full DirectX 9 support, and should fill in the gap between the Radeon 9000 Pro and Radeon 9700 Pro nicely.
