Intel 2002's top chip supplier

Silicon Strategies has ranked the top 30 chip suppliers for 2002, and as you might expect, Intel continues to dominate. The rankings are based on total chip sales, and though Intel didn't see any growth from last year's 23.54 billion sales figure, they still have more than double the sales of their next-closest competitor.

ATI didn't make the top 30, but AMD and NVIDIA make appearances. NVIDIA sits in 25th place with chip sales that grew almost 40% from last year. AMD sits higher in 16th place, but its chip sales have dropped a little more than 31% from 2001. Remember, these chip supplier rankings are based on sales, and don't necessarily reflect profits or the number of actual chips sold.
