Intel roadmaps updated

AnandTech has pulled together a slew of information from Intel's latest desktop, mobile, workstation, and server roadmaps. Here are a few highlights:
  • Intel will only release three new desktop processors this year: a 3.2GHz Northwood processor, and 3.2 and 3.4GHz Prescott processors. A 3.6GHz processor will come in Q1 2004.
  • Grantsdale, Intel's next high-end desktop chipset, will come in Q2 2004 with support for dual channel DDR2-533, PCI Express, and four Serial ATA channels on the south bridge.
  • The "Dothan" core Pentium M processor with 2MB of L2 cache will debut in Q4 2003 at 1.8GHz and ramp up from there.
Those are some of the more spicy details, but that's only scraping the surface. Plenty of other tasty morsels can be found in AnandTech's article.
