VoodooPC is now offering Athlon 64-powered notebooks for those looking to take AMD64 on the road. The new Envy m:855 bundles Athlon 64 3000 or 3200+ processors with Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro graphics and a 15" SXGA+ screen in what may be the ultimate LAN gaming notebook. The m:855 weighs in at eight pounds and promises 3 hours of battery life with basic real world applications, though I suspect hardcore gaming will run batteries dry in no time. Like Voodoo's other systems, the m:855 isn't cheap, but it is available in a wide variety of colors to suit every fashion sense.
Though the m:855s are available for order today, systems aren't expected to ship for 30 days. That should give AMD64 fans plenty of time to decide which internal organ they'd like to sacrifice.
