Boomslang mouse resurrected
Those of you who remember the Razer Boomslang gaming mouse with fondness will be pleased to learn that BFG Tech has just announced its Sniper Boomslang 2100
. Some folks still swear by the original Boomslang models (see our review
), and the 2100 looks to be a virtual clone of the old top-of-the-line Razer. Like its predecessors, the Boomslang 2100 has a very high resolution sensor (2100 dpi in this case) with a roller ball mech. I'm intrigued to see how this thing fares now that optical mice like Logitech's excellent MX series have gotten to be so good. At $80, the Boomslang ain't cheap, either.
Now that the Boomslang is back, I'm a little disappointed that the Razer Mamba design (scroll down past the Gary Coleman pics) hasn't surfaced, as well. Then again, my MX500 has a similar shape.
