Hard Tecs 4U has the first review (English translation here) I’ve seen of AMD’s Athlon 64 3000+ processor. The review confirms that AMD’s new 64-bit chip is clocked at 2.0GHz with 512KB of L2 cache, and also shows the processor’s performance to be quite impressive despite its cache deficiency. Pricewatch already shows a number of retailers listing the 3000+ for under $220, which looks like a pretty sweet deal for anyone looking to hop on the AMD64 train.
