Ok, on the basis of the feedback we've gotten over the issue, we're going to take a shot at restricting posts to registered users only. Anonymous Gerbils won't be allowed, and anonymous posting has just been disabled.
Remember, posts here are still effectively anonymous. We just ask that you register a handle with a valid e-mail address. We don't use this information otherwise or sell it or anything nefarious like that.
We'll try this for a week or two and see what we think at the end of that time. For now, the change is just provisional.
