Shuttle rides XPCs to double profits
DigiTimes is reporting that Shuttle did quite well for itself in 2003, more than doubling its profits
from the previous year on the strength of small-form-factor XPC sales. These little toasters are selling like pop-tarts, and the trend is up:
Local industry observers predicted that the company’s will likely ship 700,000 XPC systems in 2004, compared with 539,000 in 2003. Company chairman David Hsu said earlier that Shuttle is aiming to ship over one million XPCs this year.
Not a bad niche Shuttle has found for itself.
