On the heels of the ruling that Microsoft violated the Sherman anti-trust act is a new bombshell. Judge Jackson may try to get an appeal of his findings sent to the Supreme Court as soon as possible, with the result that the whole thing could be done with by the end of the year. Take a look at this CNN article for details.
Obviously this could have a severe impact on Microsoft's strategies for dealing with the case. Analysts thought that the way MS would probably handle it would be to delay the whole thing as long as possible. Shooting it straight to the Supreme Court would blow that strategy right out of the water. I wonder what this'll do to the NASDAQ?
