Athlon 64 2600+ on the way?

Xbit Labs quotes a couple of sources that point to an Athlon 64 2600+ on the horizon. It's expected that the 64-bit chip will run at 1.6GHz, have 512KB of L2 cache, and be available in a 754-pin package. With both NVIDIA's nForce3 250Gb and VIA's K8T800 Pro sporting asynchronous AGP/PCI clocks, an affordable 1.6GHz Athlon 64 could become a favorite among overclocking enthusiasts.
