Motherboard Monitor halts development
Motherboard Monitor creator Alex Van Kaam has announced
an end to development of the popular system monitoring software. Van Kaam gives several reasons for halting development, including a lack of cooperation from some manufacturers, challenges associated with supporting graphics card sensor chips, and difficulty finding motivation to continue development after more than seven years. Because Motherboard Monitor is dependent on information obtained under NDA, Van Kaam won't be releasing the source code to the public. The next great system monitoring utility will have to start from scratch.
