Weekly Folding update

Welcome to week 8 of our Folding coverage. This is a big week for the team; we've got two conquests this week, and this weekend, we'll be back in the Top 10. A big hand to all our folders, you've assisted in a massive effort to bring our team back into fighting trim. When we do make a conquest, I'll post an announcement on the front page for all to see. We can't let up, though; The SAGoons are slowly catching up to us in production. I'd hate to see us drop out of the Top 10 again, when we've worked so hard to get here.

Here are the new members, top producers, and links to hot threads in the Folding forum. All stats were gathered noonish Monday from ExtremeOC.

  • New members: BeamMeUp, asuka0, Tompson, Nullvoid, BedwyrLauncelot, cwestpha, N_4_7_3, OneShort, vizigothe, t, eezip, Yuji, PaulPfann, Knight3059, nate_enabnit. A better crop this week. Keep recruiting!
  • Top producers: Mike_Sterling, TheBank, Looking_For_Knowledge, idchafee, Nulfire/Druid, LordIcon, TheJuggernaut, emkubed, drfish, Leor, Haggis!, pmeysemb, Tamale, Atryus28, FinalDevelopment, Slymaster, Roach, Steel, HowardDrake, AmishRakeFight
  • Conquests: DSL Reports Team Helix, 2 Days; PC Perspective.com Folding Team, 5 Days; Team Short-Media, 53 Days; Maximum PC Magazine, 92 days; Team Rage3D, 223 Days. Maximum PC put the foot to the gas, but everyone else is on schedule.
  • Threats: None. Every week I keep enjoying this fact. Keep it up everyone.
  • Hot threads in DC: Poetry in Folding, Pride in our efforts, Scoring Information
  • Frankenbot progress: The Frankenbot project is a way for all of us at TR who possess hardware odds and ends in our respective parts closets to combine these leftovers into a cohesive juggernaut of Folding power. We now have three bots running, and parts for boxes #4 and #5 have been assembled. We are just waiting for the hosts to receive the boxes and they'll be online. Efforts have begun on a sixth bot.

Frankenbot Stats: #198, 1,248 points last week, Total points 12,005, Total WUs 127

Nice to keep up interest in the project. Remember, if you contributed to a Frankenbot or two, part of those numbers are yours! If you have any leftovers, let people know here or email me at howarddrake@techreport.com Also let me know if you are able to host a bot. I'll pass that info along to the appropriate parties.

Thus ends week eight of our ongoing Folding coverage. Keep it up, everyone!
