ATI has posted what it says is a relatively minor graphics driver update this month, Catalyst version 4.11. The package for WinXP without the Catalyst Control Center is available here, while the fancier version with CCC is here. ATI recommends the Control Center for Radeons 9500 and higher.
Changes in this release include a new monitor tab for each display device (addressing one of my concerns) in the Control Center, along with a whole raft of bug fixes.
ATI is also apparently planning a special driver release for Half-Life 2. They say: "Of note is that CATALYST 4.12 is slated to be posted as a beta in the next few days, and will be our best offering for an exciting and upcoming new game." I don't think that game is a new Tetris clone.
