Intel demos 65-nm dual core chip

— 11:46 AM on December 9, 2004

Intel has demoed a dual-core mobile processor built using 65-nano fabrication technology. Dubbed "Yonah," the processor is rumored to be a pair of Dothan Pentium M cores on a single die. The demo chip was apparently seen booting an operating system and running applications, but Yonah won't be mass produced until 2006. Let's hope the transition to 65-nano is a little smoother than the one to 90-nano.
