Intel to slash Pentium M prices?

DigiTimes is reporting that Intel plans deep cuts in the prices of its Pentium M line on July 24, in response to the launch of AMD's competing Turion 64 processor. The Pentium M 755, for example, would drop from $423 to $294. This is a processor that will run with the big dawgs when used on a desktop motherboard, especially when overclocked—and it's an easy one to overclock. Hopefully, by the time the cuts come, we'll see Pentium M cubes like this one based on the newer Alviso chipset.
