Sony fails to sell 1 million PSPs in first week
Sony has failed to sell
all one million PlayStation Portable units allocated for the North American launch. Many expected the much-hyped PSP to sell out, but retailers have only managed to move between 600,000 and 700,000 of the portable entertainment consoles in the first week of their availability in North America. Dead pixels and other screen-related issues have dogged
the console, and Sony's vague pixel defect policy hasn't helped. At least Penny Arcade was able to find some humor
in the situation.
