AMD continues to capture Intel's market share

Mercury Research's latest PC processor market numbers show AMD continuing to gain market share at the expense of Intel. AMD garnered just under 17% of the PC processor market in the first quarter of the year, up only 0.3% from the previous quarter, but almost 2% better than its market share in the first quarter of 2004. Intel captured 81.7% of the market in Q1, with VIA holding onto the remainder.
