PlayStation 3 graphics chip still in development

NVIDIA CFO Marv Burkette has revealed that the RSX graphics chip that will power Sony's upcoming PlayStation 3 console is still in development. RSX silicon isn't available yet, but once NVIDIA finishes the chip, Sony will take over its production. Burkette also revealed that some PlayStation 3 demos were running on systems with an unannounced NVIDIA high-end desktop part that has "many similar capabilities to the RSX."
