Digit-Life does Conroe
If you're interested in Intel's next-generation architecture, including the desktop version code-named Conroe (currently slated for the second half of 2006),
has written a lengthy article discussing both the known
facts and some educated guesswork about Intel's next-generation
processor. Billed as a hybrid of Pentium 4 and Pentium M technologies, Conroe will theoretically meld some of the Pentium 4's modern design elements and
advantages with Pentium M's proven efficiency and low power consumption.
Features such as EM64T will be supported, and other, new architectural
enhancements are on the way, as well.
