No liquid metal cooling for Sapphire after all

— 11:19 AM on November 7, 2005

It looks like the liquid metal-cooled graphics card Sapphire had on display at Computex won't make it to market. NanoCoolers, the company responsible for the liquid metal cooler, has refocused its development resources on Thin Film Thermoelectrics. That's really a shame, since the liquid metal cooler had apparently reached its performance targets. The silent magnetic pump was pretty trick, too.
