Opteron 165 violently overclocked


It has dual cores, drops into Socket 939 motherboards, has twice the L2 cache of an Athlon 64 X2 3800+, and yet it costs less. The new Opteron 165 is turning an awful lot of heads lately, and for good reason. The folks over at AMD Zone have gotten their hands on one of these intriguing new processors and overclocked it as far as they could with a high-end air cooler. Be warned: the results may cause credit-card stress.
