Intel brings virtualization to desktop

Intel has released Pentium 4 processors with virtualization technology that allows them to run multiple operating systems simultaneously. Curiously, though, the only desktop chips to receive the virtualization treatment are single-core Pentium 4 662 and 672 processors, which will sell for $401 and $605, respectively. One would think that virtualization tech would be more useful with multi-core processors that should have more idle processing power to spare.
