Tech Report is one of the oldest hardware, news, and tech review sites on the internet. We write helpful technology guides, unbiased product reviews, and report on the latest tech and crypto news. We maintain editorial independence and consider content quality and factual accuracy to be non-negotiable.

It isn’t news that Abit has plans to get into the home theater market with the SP-50 and SP-51. Abit will be bundling the AU-10, a 5.1 home theatre AC-3 sound card which recently received Dolby certification with the new sound systems. Now, PC Watch is reporting that the AU-10 will be going on sale in Japan on November 30th as a stand-alone product. This is encouraging. With Windows 2000 support, this card along with the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz and Philips Acoustic Edge 5.1 may make some inroads into Creative Labs’ monoploy, uh, monopoly.
