Alphacool is showing off the Eisbrecher, an addition to its radiator lineup, and an update to the Nexxxos GPX line of graphics card waterblocks. The Eisbrecher focuses on looking good and staying quiet, while the new GPX coolers bring the Nexxxos line up to date with support for some Nvidia 10-series cards.
Alphacool says the Eisbrecher is designed specifically for silent operation. On the top and bottom of the radiator is an "air breaker mat" that Alphacool says prevents cooling deadzones and distributes air more evenly compared to regular designs. The company says the mat allows for even slow-revolving fans to offer a boost in cooling performance.
The radiator has also been designed with modders in mind, says Alphacool, as the aluminum frame can be removed and painted. The Alphacool logo also lights up in a classic eye-searing blue. The Eisbrecher is available in a smaller 120-mm size for $72.46, as a 240-mm model for $98.73, and as 360-mm hulk for $124.99.
The new Nexxxos GPX waterblocks don't offer anything in the way of new and exciting tech, but they come in models that fit modern GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards. The 1070 M02 model fits the Asus ROG Strix cards, while the 1080 M02 fits cards in the Zotac AMP! line.
The GPX waterblocks offer active liquid cooling for the card's GPU and passive dissipation for the remaining areas. The waterblocks are available now for prices ranging from about $105 to $160, depending on the model.
